FJORDLAND NATIONAL PARK SCENIC CRUISING
Before we made it to our final destination, Sydney, we cruised the Fjordland National Park. It's one of the most beautiful destinations on our cruise. Fjordland National Park is the largest and most popular national park in New Zealand for tourism. It is well preserved and has over 2 million hectares in size, surrounded by mountains, lakes, waterfalls, glaciers, fjords etc...One of the best ways to enjoy this beautiful landscapes is from the ship. The cruising itinerary for this day, October 19 was transiting Forveaux Strait Gulf, entering Doubtful Sound, Thompson Sound, leaving Doubtful and Thompson Sound, entering Milford Sound, turning around and finally leaving Milford Sounds. It took about 9 hours to cruise this majestic Fjordland National Park through three sounds: Dusky, Milford and Doubtful. The ship started entering Dusky Sound at 7:00am and leaving Milford Sound around 4:00pm.
