Sri Lanka - 2019 - Uda Walawe National Park

We enjoyed the beautiful scenic drive in the Hill Country of Uva Province.  Our destination was Uda Walawe National Park for an elephant safari. It's our very first safari of any kind. We were very excited about the upcoming adventure as it's our first safari of any kind!

BUDURUWAGALA

On our way to Uda Walawe, we made a stop at Buduruwagala to see the beautiful 1,000 year old rock carved with Buddha figures. These carving figures are much in tact at the ancient outdoor temple site.

It was an enjoyable safari adventure in the Uda Walawe National Park. Glad to see the park continues working hard to preserve and provide natural habitats for the wildlife in the beautiful Hills Country of Uva Province.
