POLONNARUWA
Another UNESCO world heritage site that we enjoyed visiting in the North Central Province was Polonnaruwa, the royal ancient city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa. Today this ancient city remains one of the best planned archaeological cities in Sri Lanka. It was a very large complex.
