Tunis, Tunis' Medina - Tunisia - October 2023.

It was a short flight to Tunis from Malta. We are impressed with Tunisair with its comfortable seats and professional services. We're ready for our one week of Tunisian adventure starting with Tunis.

Catching Tunisair from Malta airport.

An airport attendance retrieving my "6 pack"/shoes that I left in the airport while waiting for boarding.

Arriving Tunis' Carthage airport.

Tunis:  Also called Grand Tunis, is the capital and largest city of Tunisia. The modern part of the city (Ville Nouvelle) is much recognized by the grand boulevard "Avenue Habib Bouguiba" or known as "Tunisian Champs-Elysees", starts by the Clock Tower. The other end is the famous Medina. Our hotel is around the corner of the boulevard closer to the Medina.

Medina: The Medina of Tunis is one of the first Arab-Muslim town (7th century). It has conserved, without significant alteration. An UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Medina contains many historic charms, landmarks and monuments winding through narrow alleyways and vibrant marketplaces (suqs).
