Our second stop was Sydney on the east coast of Cape Breton Island. Sydney was Cape Breton Island's colonial capital until the colony merged with Nova Scotia and the capital moved to Halifax. The city was much smaller than Halifax and easy to explore on foot, especially with the cooperation of nice weather when we got on land.
